Schiel serviced the children of Corryville for many years until the establishment of magnet schools in the late 1970s/early 1980s. At that time, Schiel became a Spanish Language magnet school with children attending from all over the school district. In 1985 Schiel's magnet focus was changed to Arts Enrichment which it remains today.
Schiel offers all students the opportunity to experience a rich arts environment with scheduled classes in dance, art, vocal music and Suzuki strings. In addition, the students enjoy attending plays and symphonies, visiting museums and experiencing visits from the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, theatre groups and nationally reknowned storytellers. |
