Here are the exciting after school opportunities offered at a reasonable cost!
Introduction to Percussion
Instructor: Mr. John Gardner
Mr. Gardner holds a bachelor of education degree from Kent State University, a bachelor of music performance degree in percussion from the Oberlin Conservatory, and a master of music degree in percussion performance from the College-Conservatory of Music, University of Cincinnati.

I was involved in both the auditioning and selection of students as an instructor and Artistic Directory respectively. Because of this, I can prepare your student for a successful audition at SCPA." -John Gardner

Beginning Harp, Harp 1 and Private Lessons
Instructor: Kathryn Wigger
Kathryn Wigger received her Bachelor of Music from the New England Conservatory in Harp Performance with a Music-in-Education Concentration in May 2007. There she preformed as the principal harpist with the schools numerous ensembles: NEC Symphony, the Sinfonietta, the Jordan Winds, and the Wind Ensemble. She has also performed in chamber music ensembles as well as being a founding member of the former Steel Harp Duo, along with another colleague at NEC. In addition to performance, Kathryn has taught general music education throughout the Boston area, along with Instructing and leading a harp ensemble. She began her harp studies at 11 years of age under the direction of Michelle Gwynne, the current harp instructor at SCPA and has also studied under world-reowned harpist in the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Ann Hobson Pilot; who was the first African-American Soloist to perform with the South African Symphony. Since then, Kathryn's primary interests have included playing chamber music as well as sharing her passion for music and harp with the next generation of young children.

Musical Theatre and Dance
Instructor: Mary Anne Schaeper
Mary Anne Schaeper received her BFA and MA as a dance major from the University of Cincinnati, College-Conservatory of Music. For ten years, she served as Adjunct Faculty of Dance at the University of Cincinnati. She has also taught for the Otto M. Budig Academy of Cincinnati Ballet, Spectra + Arts Education Program in the Fairfield School District, the Fitton Center for Creative Arts in Hamilton, as well as several area competitive dance schools. She is currently teaching at the Tina Marie School of Dance in Finneytown, Ohio. Just for Kicks Dance Academy in Mason, Ohio and Mercy Hospital Health-Plex, Fairfield. She will be returning for her sixteenth year as Director of the dance program at North Avondale Montessori School. Mrs. Schaeper continues to serve on the ballet faculty, for her sixteenth year, at the University of Cincinnati, CCM Preparatory Department, where she is considered a "specialist in the training of children in dance".

After School Piano
Instructor: Youngwon Park French
-Advanced to beginners of all ages
-Individualized private piano, theory & musicianship lessons
-Training & building up confidence level for performances
-Intensive Coaching & accompanying for recitals & competitions
Youngwon Park French has won several first prizes including International Young Artists Competition in Korea, Montreal Classical Music Festival & Austrian Society Music Scholarship in Canada. Working as a collaborative artist, she worked with G.E.M.S. in Quebec performing electro-acoustic & experimental music. Her tribute concert productions of Glenn Gould & Leonard Bernstein as composer were broadcast nationwide by CBC/SRC FM & CKUT FM Radio Montreal. Youngwon has both B.MUS. & M.MUS. degrees in piano performance from McGill University. She has worked with University of San Diego & Point Loma Nazarene University in Southern California. Currently she is working with University of Cincinnati's CCM & Prep dance departments as a pianist. Also Youngwon is an active member of MTNA.
