2008-2009 OAT Test Results
We just received our 2008-2009 OAT Test Scores and Schiel has received an EXCELLENT rating on the State Report Card for the second year in a row! Our Math score was 93%! A gain of 14% over last year. Our Reading score was 92.5%! A gain of 6.2% over last year! A two year gain of 30.0% in Reading and a 21.6% in Math. Our AYP Reading target was 77% and we scored 90.3%. 13.3% over the goal! Our AYP Math target was 68.5% and we scored 90.3%. 24.8% over the goal! We had 100% participation rate! Congratulations team Schiel!!!

Schiel Primary School for Arts Enrichment's mission is teaching
academics to meet promotion standards with an emphasis on
enriching that teaching through the arts. Our goal is to integrate the
arts and academics to provide an education that stimulates the
many intelligence's of our students.

- Friday May 21st: Schiel Suzuki Strings Concert: 2:15 in the auditorium
- Friday May 21st: Spirit Day- "Back to the Beach Day!"
- Tuesday May 25th: Awards Day! K-9:45, 1st-10:30 and 2nd-2:00 The third grade will be done in the classroom.
- Tuesday May 25th: Third Grade Picnic
- Wednesday May 26th: Last Day of School for Students!!! Farewell to Schiel Party!!!!
- Thursday May 27th: Last Day for Teachers!!!!!!!!!
- Monday June 7th: Doors close at Schiel and the curtain drops for the last time.... Farewell to an Excellent School and Staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!
School Hours: 9:15 a.m. - 3:45 p.m.
Students will NOT be permitted into the building before 8:50 AM, unless they have a scheduled lesson. Students must be picked up by 4:00 PM, if they are NOT riding a bus. No exceptions!
